I created a new user on my iMac. I created it without a password. Now, it's asking me for a password. I cannot log in. How do I fix this?

Even though I did this as the admin, I cannot make changes to this account. It’s grayed out and I cannot select it.
Did this happen after the recent Security Updares?
Have you just hit enter for the password?
Also any admin account should be able to set the PW for any other account.
