'Update All' function is no longer working

Hi,

I upgraded my iPhone XS to IOS 14 and turned on two factor authentication. Right after that updating apps become a nightmare as for each update I've required to enter my apple ID.

'Update All' is not working for me and I could not find anything on web about it.

Does anybody have the same problem or any solution?

Sincerely,

iPhone XS

Hey ASarperE,

It looks like after turning on two-factor authentication you're being prompted over and over for your Apple ID when trying to update apps on your iPhone XS.

We'd recommend taking a look at: Update apps or use automatic downloads, namely the section "Update your apps manually". That walks you through where to go to update all of your iOS apps, and the rest of the article provides tips on updating as well.

If you're still not able to update them all at once, let us know if you get an alert or message when you try, or if the button is just non-responsive.

Cheers!

Hi,

Right, I'm being prompted over and over for my Apple ID when trying to update apps, for being exact; this happens when I click the 'Update All'. I have over 100 apps on my iPhone XS, so it requires me to enter my Apple ID 100 times whenever an update appears. This is really annoying.

There is no alert or message appeared after I hit 'Update All', and I couldn't say it is irresponsive as the uploading symbol(s) nearby the apps begin turning, yet as you mentioned at that point I'm being asked over and over for my Apple ID and updates do not begin to load. Whenever this happens somehow I cancel 'Update All' by hitting 'Cancel' in one of the prompted Apple ID box, then app by app I manually update.

Recently I've updated to latest IOS version 14.2, and I am still not able to update apps at once.

Sincerely,
