Thanks for the answer.

It did not work to change the brightness even through the phone app.

I did chat with Apple Support. After a while, when we tested some 'simple' changes, I had to 'disconnect' the Watch from my phones Watch app. After that, I 'reconnect' the Watch to my phone again and that solves my brightness problem. The chat with Apple Support and the disconnect/reconnect took me about an hour. The good news, after the reconnect, I could choose to restore my Watch. I did not need to reconfigure anything. My Watch was as it was before the procedure.

So, I'm happy.

Disconnect: I open Watch app on my iPhone, i did choose "All watches" at the top left (I'm not sure about the english text because I use a different language on my iPhone). Next I choose (i) 'button' and then "Remove pairing". Then I had to pair my Watch with my iPhone again, the same way as I did first time I got my Watch. This sequence fixed my brightness problem.

Good luck MJDDCLAW and best regards

Hello pelleart-net,

Changing the brightness of your Apple Watch display is extremely important, and you've come to a great place for help. To ensure the best support is provided have you also verified the brightness setting in Settings > Display & Brightness on the Apple Watch itself? If not, try adjusting the brightness from there. This will help isolate the issue.

Adjust brightness, text size, sounds, and haptics on Apple Watch

If you're able to adjust the brightness through the Settings app on the Apple Watch we would recommend the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article as it may be app related, or related to the iPhone itself.

Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 14 or iPadOS device or Apple Watch

Restart your iPhone

Have a great day!
