Macbook Pro (2012) shut down by itself and requires to reset the password (Sierra OS)

Just today, my macbook shut down by itself and it requires to reset the password (Sierra OS) - is something gone wrong with the SSD drive?

It's really dissapointing if all the data can disappear...

Please help... at the stage to reset the password, I chose the option Password for the system doesn't work...and I think something is wrong with SSD drive as I can barely hear small noise.... But I also have anotheer OS system on my HDD drive, how can I load from it? As I suppose I need to press special hot keys while strarting the computer.

HWTech, thank you for help! Interresting, it turned out that the probem was with NVRAM... so I cleared the NVRAM holding opt+cmd+P+R and pressing the Power button, after the second beep I released the hot keys and it loaded fine! Before that it was a mess with the black screen quite often!

P.S. Thanks to Apple Care Customer Support!
