Siri Female Mexican voice bug with AirPods

When you put on your ears airpods pro

you say the command “hey Siri” and these is what should happen:

if language is English and Siri voice is female or male voice

if you only say hey Siri, on your AirPod pro, you will hear “Uhum” “Eu”

that happens when language is English and Siri voice American female or male

that also happens with Spanish Spain is set as language and Siri voice is set up as Spanish female

BUT

when i set up language to Spanish Mexico and siri voice to Mexican female,

the command hey Siri receives a cut out sound on airpods

it’s not working properly

is someone experiencing this?

Hello damagapple,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues to get Siri working as expected with your AirPods Pro when it is set to female Mexican with the Spanish language, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.

Does it work as expected when setting the language to English? Were you able to get it to work with the Mexican Spanish before with your AirPods Pro?

To get started, please check out the following link, and make sure the settings on your device matches the ones on the following link:

Use Siri with AirPods on iPhone

Hope this helps. Kind regards.

Hi damagapple,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. It looks like you're having issue with Siri's accent and gender, so let's continue working on this together.

Does Siri work as expected while your iPhone not being connected with your AirPods? What is the exact iOS 14 version currently running on your iPhone? Settings > General > About.

Also, let's check your AirPods firmware version under: Settings > General > About > Airpods on your iPhone.

iOS 14.1 was recently released, so if you haven’t updated to that, let’s do so now.

Let us know if that helps. We'll be looking forward to your response.

Hello,

i didn’t have AirPods Pro before and with AirPods version 1 , when I said hey siri, Siri wouldn’t reply “uhum, um or eu”

AirPods Pro does that and it works perfectly with language English Siri voice American voice

but with Spanish is different

language set up in Spanish in any version of Spanish wether is Mexico , Chile, Spain or United States it doesn’t make the difference

the bug is not related to the language set up

The bug is related to the Siri voice ( accent and gender)

for example Spanish accent Siri voice gender female works great

on the other hand, Mexican accent Siri voice, gender female doesn’t work and cuts out or says mute

but , Mexican accent Siri voice, gender male, works perfectly

im only able to test this out since I have AirPods Pro and that is recent

thanks for the link

everything is set up according to the link

you don't seem to understand

the issue happens with AirPods Pro. Siri only give that type of feedback when using AirPods Pro. and my question is only related to that.

when you say the command "hey Siri" using AirPods , SIRI gives a feedback saying "UHUM, AHA, EU"

SIRI only gives that feedback when using AirPods pro

could you please try at least to check that out?

when using Mexican female voice, the feedback of UHUM, AHA OR EU

cuts out

or say mute

is anyone here who are customers like me experiencing this? well on this same community forum I have already read that at least 3 persons are already experiencing the same bug
