Facetime for iphone 12 UAE

Brother, it’s quite clear that the staff has no clue from your comments and from my personal experience and that’s why I emphasized on it. I believe that I am good enough to check ‘Language and region’ settings to comment about it. If it’s a case of satisfying your ego, I can’t help it but if you are really into proofs, I myself own a 12pro uae version(iOS 14.1), XS max US version(14.2 beta), iPhone 6s plus Qatar issued(iOS 14.1), iPad Pro 12.9 2020 UK/Ireland issued(iPadOS 14.1) and some legacy models including iPhone 4, iPad mini etc..! And I’m well versed with iOS ecosphere.

seeing multiple demo phones from different stores across uae with FaceTime is not a coincidence and neither is my IPhone from Apple store!!!🥷🏻

Is this a store-issued phone? Or did you buy this? The reason I ask is that it seems that the FaceTime app appears on UAE-issued iPhones when the buyer changes the region to a country that is not the UAE.

All stores, including Etisalat, virgin etc, even their demo devices have FaceTime App. So it’s safe to come to a conclusion that all new iPhones in UAE with iOS 14.1 have FaceTime App installed even if the region is set to UAE.

even most staff in the shops don’t exactly have no idea about this at all.

but calls on FaceTime App still don’t work in UAE.

You seem to keep repeating about "staff not knowing ".. haha.. though, did you see what region that Etisalat demo phone was set to? Just becauase it was in the Etisalat store doesnt mean the region was set to UAE!

Any Apple device ordered from UAE apple store will have no Facetime. For facetime in UAE we order from third party websites since UAE apple store only sells Middle Eastern version of iPhone which have no Facetime

So in summary I can order the Middle East version from apple uae and as long as I change the region to UK then FaceTime will appear.

And when I’m travelling abroad outside ME for example in the UK it will work?

If we have to change region for using FaceTime there are certain conditions set by Apple. Please read the notification message while changing region. For me it is asking to cancel appleTv subscription to change region. There might be charges.

the iPhone 11 Pro sold in UAE Apple stores does not have Facetime, you pay full price with less features ! I guess the 12 will be the same..

It seems like an iPhone 12 with iOS 14.1 in an Etisalat store have FaceTime app in it.. so hopefully apple store will have iPhones with FaceTime in it as well.

nope! u can check list of pre-installed apps in the tech specs.. other countries show facetime, but not in UAE..

I think about problem Facetime in iPhone UAE unit has been solved since Apple make iOS 13.6.

All iPhone with that iOS added facetime by apple because of COVID-19
