controlling your locked and disordered preview annotations

Like many others, I lost my ability to control my preview annotations when I moved to Catalina OS. I couldn't edit my former annotations when revisiting my pdf file. Following a tip by VikingOSX in this forum, I hit cmd-i to see the information window and selected the "annotations" tab. There appeared a nice list of annotations, in page order.

I couldn't bring these up from the main pdf page; I could only remove them. Neither could I edit these notes from the highlights-and-notes sidebar. So all my instincts from previous versions were to no avail. Happily I can do everything I need to do now, using this information window. This saves me from the dreaded Acrobat Reader DC.

Thank you VikingOSX
