Do I need to have iTunes installed on my HP laptop windows 10 using Microsoft edge AND Windows Chrome to reset my passcode. I have followed the instruction's three(3) time.
Can see the usb in the directory.
Stay there for about 15 minutes then disappears probably timing out like I read.
Can't get apple phone to populate under portable devices.
I've restarted laptop multiple times.
Must be missing or overlooking some key item.

Are you talking about the passcode to get into your iPhone? If yes you need to have the latest version of iTunes on your computer and follow this: If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support I am assuming you cannot remember your current passcode.
Yup I don't make a habit of remembering passwords.
Moving from android to iPhone.
