Cellular model with operator doesn't support Apple Watch

Hi All,

I have a mobile subscription at an operator who actually does not support Apple watch. As they hopefully will introduce Apple watch support in the near future, I'm planning to purchase Apple Watch 6 GPS+Cellular now. I don't want to move to other mobile operator who already supports Apple Watch 6. My question is if I use the above model but I don't activate mobile function can it degrade or influence other functionality of the product? Or after simply disabling the mobile function I can use it as an Apple Watch 6 GPS?

Thank you: Zsolt

A Cellular Apple Watch where you do not activate the cellular radio will work just like a GPS only Apple Watch, and will do Everything an activated Cellular model will do as long as your iPhone is nearby
