I have a 2006 Mac Pro that has not been used in a while. It seems to start up fine however the apple monitor that I purchased with it no longer works.
I want too access the hard drives so that I can find my file with older digital photographs and retain them.
I have a MacBook Pro and a Imac.
Is there any way I can do that without another monitor.
Can I somehow access the Mac Pro using either the MBP or iMac .

Target disk mode does not depend on any particular version of MacOS, because it executes directly from the computer's ROM.

is it possible that given this is a 2006 mp and the os probably has not been updated since say 2010 that it does not have a target disk mode....thanks
Connect to to another Mac with a FireWire cable(and a Thunderbolt adapter if needed) and start it up with the T key held down. Copy the files off.
