“Other” taking up a lot of storage on iPhone

Hello! Since I’ve updated to iOS 14 I noticed I lost a lot of storage and that the “Other” take up like 18GB of it. It used to be a few GB. Can someone help me fix this?

13.6.1 was suppised to fix this although I never had a problem in 13.6

Other may be genuine stored data by apps (eg social media) that are badly written, or with data not in the usual categories

While in the iphone storage section check data per app storage and look for very big ones

In extremis, backup and restore the phone to factory and restore from backup. If it comes back it may be genuine data.

You should also have a weekly backup regime because if you eventually use up all the available storage and you get error messages (14, 4013) on your phone your data may become unrecoverable.
