Hello, I have a 2018 MacBook Air and a 2017 iMac computer. I want to use my MacBook Air as a secondary screen to my iMac. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out the cables I need to connect them because I can't figure it out myself. Thanks!
You can not do that with those Mac’s, because they do not support Target Display Mode.
No can do, they are too new to support Target Display Mode. If you want an external display, do not waste time or money just buy an external display and get on with it. The good news external displays are now pretty cheap.
