how to connect my mac screen with macbook

Hello,

I have a iMac device and I would like to work with 2 screens.

I could find a lot of videos on internet about how to connect my iMac into a new monitor, but somehow, I cannot find any video or instruction about how to connect my iMac into my macbook air 2021.

Is there any guide to follow?

I am trying to use the Thunderbolt cable + HDMI and its not working.

Can someone please help?

You can't do that. Even if your iMac is old enough to support Target Display Mode, TDM is both hardware and software dependent on both ends of the connection. Your 2021 MBA does not support TDM devices.
