LG HomeKit enable TV missing native HomePod Audio Support

I recently purchased a 2020 LG television with builtin HomeKit/AppleTV/AirPlay2 support. It's a brilliant set, and love what it's able to do with these features. But I'm disappointed to learn it is missing a key component, the ability to use my HomePod speakers for the TV's audio output. Is there any news to share about supporting HomePod audio with the TV's native AppleTV/AirPlay2
