iCloud email password reset

I’m trying to reset an icloud email that I forgot on an old device. When I request the reset, it keeps saying it will text the the info in 12 days, or send it to the iCloud email...that I can’t access because the password is long gone.

I do get the verification numbers on my current phone but that’s it. No instructions how to reset the Password. Is there a better faster way? I don’t want to wait 12 days as I want to dispose of the phone clean, without my iCloud on it.

We see that you're trying to reset the password for your iCloud account. We'd be happy to provide you with some information that can help.

You mentioned that you're getting a message that you have to wait 12 days. Did you put your account into recovery? If so, there is not a way to speed up this process, you'd have to way the 12 days.

Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password

If you wait the 12 days and you still are unable to access the account, you may want to reach out to Apple Support.
