What causes the iPad to turn itself op back on after being shut down? When it is turned off manually, by sliding the slider to shut down it will shut down but after a while will turn itself back on once in a while. It happens often enough that it seems odd.

We understand that after shutting down your iPad, it will periodically turn itself back on.
When this happens, are you plugging the iPad in to power? If so then this is expected behavior if the iPad battery isn't complete drained.
If not, can you tell us a bit more about what happens? When it turns on, are there any apps that become active?
