Transfer calls to airpods

Whenever I am in car, my phone is connected to the music system of the car using Bluetooth . Whenever I receive a call, it goes to the Car music system. Is there any setting that enables to receive calls on Airpods even when phone is connected to the music system. I know, one can manually switch in between the call. But is there a way to do it automatically?
