Apple NZ Pre-Order Shipments

Hi all.

I'm looking at pre-ordering the iPhone 12 via the Apple Store (NZ), however I'm curious to know if they ship a day before to meet the release date or ship on release date. If the latter then I'll purchase from a physical store as online orders may not arrive until mid next week due to a Friday release and Labour Day next Monday.

P.S I've arbitrarily selected a device for this post as there was no iPhone 12 in the provided options.

As you work your way through the online ordering process, you will be informed about the expected delivery date. If it’s unsatisfactory, you may cancel the process before completion.
