i just bought more storage for my phone, & it said it’d work immediately. but it still says i don’t have enough storage for the update. why? i’ve deleted videos & pictures & apps back to back. so why.

You cannot purchase more storage for your phone. It will always have the amount it came with. You have purchased storage in iCloud, Apple's syncing service. To make more space for the update, you must delete photos, messages, apps, etc.. Be sure to save important photos and data to your computer or external drive. Check these links...
