What happens to my iCloud data, if I stop paying for the storage plan?

Hello there,

I would like to ask what would happen to my data (e.g. photos, files, etc.) if I stop paying for my 200GB storage plan.

  1. Do I get some time, where I can download the data, before it gets permanently deleted?
  2. What is the time period before it gets deleted?
  3. Do I get a similar notice mail, same as when I use MailDrop, where I can download the files?
  4. And would it be possible for anyone to link me to official Apple Terms and Conditions, where I could find this info explicitly?

Thank you very much in advance! :-)

Per -- Downgrade or cancel your iCloud storage plan – Apple Support.

"If you downgrade or cancel your plan, the storage change will take effect from when your current subscription billing period ends.* If you downgrade to the free iCloud Storage plan, you'll have 5 GB of storage."

#2 See answer above.

#3 You can download the data via -- Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support.

#4 Not sure what T & C you're asking for?
