I want to Switch my Itunes login and keep all my apps and games

Good morning,

When we (my wife and I) set up our original iPhone 3GS' we used the same apple log in for iTunes so we could share Purchases, kinda the original "Family Sharing" plan.

It has been getting more and more difficult to keep those straight, now with having kids we extended that to their devices. So my iTunes login is being used by 4 different users. With app pushed off of course.

But i want to know is there a way to switch the iTunes login to the Apple iCloud id but for all of us to keep the apps that we have downloaded? As we are set up in a family, this should not be an issue going forward. Just trying to separate the accounts when i can.

If your iCloud IDs are each separate Apple IDs, you can use them.

Once you have Family Sharing set up, the App Store should know that all apps can be shared among family members. Some times, after Family Sharing is set up, each family member needs to log out of the App Store/iTunes, restart their device, and then log back in for things to work properly.

You are welcome. That will be a problem since all prior purchases were made using that ID. A family member needs to use that ID as their ID or the ID needs to be made a family member. Somehow the ID must be included in the family.

Ok thank you. We all have our iCloud IDs. We can use them?

So once i make that change, the App Store will know what apps are on all my devices and have a cloud to download (Like it has been downloaded before?)

The reason i ask, i had an issue with my Apple TV trying to signout and then delete apps and it stated they were downloaded with a different ID.

You should be able to accomplish what you want by creating new separate accounts for your wife and kids, and then setting up Family Sharing - Apple

Last clarifying question. The Apple ID that we are using in the Store will no longer be used. Is that an issue?
