Apple ID and iTunes

I recently got my own Apple ID so I could be separate from my family. When I try to update apps, I type in my password but the only password that works is the password from their Apple ID. I’ve logged out and logged back in, I’ve restarted my phone, and I’m just frustrated I can’t completely get rid of their Apple ID and iTunes.

Delete and redownload the applications you're trying to update. The other Apple ID is stored inside them.

Also when I go to forgot password (because it won’t let me use my password) it brings up my parents’ account.
