I want to change my primary email because my original has been discontinued by my bellsouth carrier but apple will not let me use my new email because it is my notification email

Change Apple ID but can’t use my notification email which is all I have

You can only use a valid e-mail that's not used in an Apple environment.

You can get/use for example a free Gmail account for your Apple ID.
