I have an iPhone 8 running iOS 14.2 beta. This problem was there then too. Now I've removed the beta profile, but I am still running iOS 14.2. It'll downgrade in a few days, that's not my question. I can't send pictures via SMS or MMS on my iPhone. Sending with iMessage works fine, but it dowsn't work. I am so frustrated after trying many things, including resetting network settings. Please help me out here as to what I can do.

Resetting your iOS to the latest, official version would be the fist step:
Also make sure that sending MMS is selected in the settings for messages on your device.
I’m having the same problem. I upgraded to the 14.2 and cannot send photos via SMS or MMS.
I cannot even find the “send SMS” option anymore.
I see it on my iphone but not my iPad. Maybe it’s hidden deep somewhere, but I’ve tried all of the above as well.

You never had a Send as SMS option on the iPad. You cannot send an SMS on the iPad, unless you have Continuity and Text Message forwarding setup, and then it uses your iPhone to send an SMS. There is no setting on the iPad for it.

I’ve already tried the second step a million times. As for the first step, I would try to upgrade to the latest stable release the second it comes out.
My IPad is 4 years old and I’ve been sending SMS messages this whole time. SEND AS SMS used to be there.
I ran into trouble yesterday after the 14.2 update. Now the SEND AS SMS disappeared.
So it’s now on neither, huh? It’s there on my iPhone 8 though after the upgrade to 14.2.
