Syncing iOS photo albums and favourites to Mac

Is there a way that when I import my photos from my iPhone to my Mac, the favourites and albums I created on my phone will also appear that way on my Mac?

I know this used to not be possible, but the thought of this still not being possible 5 years down the line is really hard to imagine.

Unfortunately I can't figure out any way to do this.

Pleeeaaaassseee tell me this is possible by now. 😳

Hi -

The only way to do this is to use Icloud sync. Then your phone and mac libraries will be identical.

The downside is you need enough Icloud space for your entire library.
