I don't see an RX 5700 XT card listed as a FCPX compatible GPU. However, I've seen some YouTubers showing improved performance with the card. Is the list out of date following Navi support for latest OS?

It works until I hit it with 4K in FCP. It causes crashes without an eGPU...but thanks for the suggestion.
Is this an Apple installed card or an after market cards? The list you see is for aftermarket only, not factory installed.

You don't need an eGPU to use dual monitors. It may give you better performance, depending on the GPU, but it is not an absolute necessity.
That was my gut feeling but wanted to do a little fishing in case someone could endorse the GPU I wanted. Hate to buy a RX580 this long into its lifecycle but reluctant to pay for the pro xw9100 or 7 and the Vega 64 is another $100.
