When opening Prime App on Apple TV, says
OK, I’m on my iPad, signed into PrimeVideo website.
WHERE do I enter code from PrimeApp? There is no obvious place to do this ?

After signing in on the website with your Amazon account, you should be taken to the “Register a device” page, where you can enter the code.
Bingo.
The instructions should say;
Go to ‘http://PrimeVideo.com/mytv’ , which actually goes to a registration screen.
However, the instructions on the Prime App say go to ‘PrimeVideo/mytv’.
If you type that into a Safari browser on iPad all I get are search results; and it’s just the Prime Video site.
The solution I used obviously had the correct URL as a link.

Actually no. I use touch for all my passwords and it works, I think you might have typed in the wrong URL
The problem is if you have clicked ‘remember my password’ or use ‘touch’ to sign in this screen does not come up. When you go to ‘mytv’ it goes straight to Prime home page.
Finally solved it using Prime ‘help’ for how to connect app for an android device; using the link (it is not PrimeVideo/mytv) provided takes you to an Amazon sign in page. Do not use ‘touch’ sign in, enter your full account details manually, and only then do you get this registration screen.
