When I order a phone from Apple.ie does it come as an unlocked phone?

Yes the choice of providers does not usually appear in European orders so they are unlocked

No. It's part of the original online order.

You can pick a carrier or an unlocked device.

Thanks for the responses but I contacted Apple and they confirmed that buying from Europe/Ireland all phones are unlocked when purchased by default.
