Need upgrading

Would it be worth upgrading my Mac? I am a photographer and not able to update to the latest Apple Software. Because of this I am not able to update Photoshop.

MacOS High Sierra 21.5" Late 2009

Processor 3.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 8GB

Thank you in advance.

I could get this, is it worth it, and will Photoshop and other Adobe programs work with this? I don't have much experience with computers.

Thank you

I second the other comments here. I offer the following thoughts for you to consider. The things you will be using a Mac for do require more speed and memory. I would only get a Mac which has a much faster solid state (SSD) drive and slots which allow the user to easily plug in RAM. I think a larger 27 " unit would better suit your needs. You could buy it with the minimum RAM and then purchase additional RAM for less cost from either mac sales.com or crucial.com. Their products work and are guaranteed. Any RAM you buy elsewhere will likely cause problems. They also have videos which show you how to easily install the RAM yourself in about 10 minutes. You should probably install a total of 32 GB to ensure good operations for what you will be doing. Then, if you ever need to upgrade the RAM later, it's easy to do. I understand that going this way will cost more money, but it's a case of you get what you pay for.
