make and receive calls on Mac using Iphone

Hello,

since the update of my iPhone 7 to ios14, I have the following issue:

when trying to make calls from my Mac (macOS Catalina 10.15.6) using iPhone, I get the following message: ''your iphone and mac must be on the same wi-fi network''.

Of course they are on the same wifi, they are close-by and I checked all other settings suggested in the guide here.

Till the update to iOS 14 it was perfectly working.

What can I do on this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

They are probably not on the same Wi-Fi network, even though you think they are. Go to Settings/Wi-Fi on the phone and note the network name, then click on the Wi-Fi icon on the Mac’s toolbar and note the Wi-Fi network that is checked. If the network names (SSIDs) are the same perhaps one is on 2.4 GHz and the other on 5 GHz.

If that passes, on the phone try turning off Private Address in the settings for that Wi-Fi network on your phone.
