Why did my albums dissappear?

A few months ago I checked my Apple Music and half of my albums are gone. I'm wondering why? I can't find them by artist, recently added, or anywhere else. Is Apple Music one of those services where when you buy an album it is only licensed to you for a certain period of time and then your license expires and your album goes away? Any other ideas why albums would go away and how to get them back? Otherwise, I won't buy any more if you only get them for a period of time and they expire.

We see that you are having some difficulties locating albums on your Mac in the Music app. We would love to assist you with resolving this issue.

If the albums were purchased in the iTunes Store, you can verify if the music is still in your Purchased tab using this resource: Redownload music

If you still are not able to redownload your music, check out the steps of this resource: If there's an issue when you redownload apps, movies, or other content from Apple
