You need iOS 14 and an iPhone that is able to get iOS 14 installed on it. You have an iPhone 6 Plus and the farthest you can update is to iOS 12.x.x. Your iPhone therefore cannot get iOS 14 and thus cannot get the widgets feature.

You need an iPhone 6s or a newer iPhone to install iOS 14.
