Distorted video

I have a video that was incorrectly recorded. The aspect ratio of the camera was 16/10 but the recording was 4/3. Thus the image was "squished" horizontally. Is there any way to correct that post recording. It is in mp4 format.

Slow motion videos are degraded and scrambled. I capture videos in slow motion at a frame rate of 240 FPS. However, when I transfer these videos to my laptop or PC, I notice a degradation in their quality. Specifically, certain intervals within the videos exhibit a significant reduction in resolution, appearing pixelated and scrambled, while the rest of the video maintains a higher quality. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. it is normal when the video starts but goes bad after a few seconds.

Footage is 60fps but FCP says it's 58p Hello, i downloaded software on Appstore called "MediaInfo" for me to get some information about the footage i was about to edit. It say it's 60fps at FullHD, but for some reason, if i inspect the video in FCP, it shows only 59.94p. If i try to render the video in 60fps, i would get choppy output (it looks like it's around 30fps). So the only solution i yet found was to render in 59.94p, but still, i can see that some frames are missing (there is like 1sec of "stutter" around every 15 seconds). Project codec is set to: Apple ProRes 4444 Media Inspector inside FCP: Media inspector trough MediaInfo: My render settings: Anyone know what could be the problem and solution? I can provide more information if needed. It's strange for me that there is big stutter when trying to export at 60fps and i am forced to 59.94p, where the stutter is also present (only a little, but still). Thanks for respond in advance! EDIT: i also found more info in FCP about the media, here it says that the footage have 58,82 frames. Strange, because everywhere else it says that the footage is 60fps (also in quicktime inspector). I am running blind here. Origin of the footage is from twitch VOD, downloaded by software called "Twitch Leecher" and it should be at 60fps.

video playback choppy I recorded a video on Photobooth that was 45 mins long. I can watch the video but as soon as I press later on the timeline then it gets choppy. (if I press at 5mins in, it will not play normal anymore) I recorded a video that's 2 mins long and I am able to do this. I tried clipping the video in shorter lengths. the first video worked but not the second. so the one that I clipped from 00 - 5mins works but not the one I clipped from 5-10mins. (they are both 5 mins long videos) I watch other videos I have that are long so I believe it's something to do with the photobooth recording. But that's just my guess. any thoughts. any similar experiences?

I know that you can change aspect ratio with the free download, MPEG Streamclip.

That's an old program that hasn't been updated in years. It doesn't run on Catalina.

There probably are several apps out there that can change the aspect ratio. Here's a website that purports to list five of them. I am not personally familiar with any of them.

I'm not sure whether the free downloads, Handbrake and VLC, can change aspect ratios. I played with them for awhile but couldn't offhand make them work to change aspect ratio. If you have them on your computer you can try them. Or download them from the internet.
