Safari can't play any YouTube video with ads

I can't play any video on safari recently and I notice that there is something to do with the ad block extension I had. However, even after I remove all the extension and clear all the browsing data, cache and cookies, I still can't watch any YouTube video that comes with ads (any video without ads works fine).


I tried to search anything on my Mac that is related to Adblock and safari and clear it all but the YouTube video still not showing. Can anyone please help me with this issue?

Hi jingtian97,


It looks like you're unable to view YouTube videos that contain ads after you removed the ad block extension you installed. Being able to view the videos is very important. We're glad you reached out for help.


Restart your Mac in safe mode, this prevents any remaining extensions from starting.


Start up your Mac in safe mode


Also, check to see if you set up a new user to test.
