"It may take a few minutes to set up your Apple ID..." This is there on the screen for about 30 minutes now when i am trying to set up my new iphone. I restarted once but still nothing's happening and the same screen is appearing. Any suggestions on what to do ?

Others have posted the same problem. Some people have had to let it run overnight for the set up to complete. Another suggestion I have seen is to skip that step, finish setting up the phone, and then set up the Apple ID.

yep the second option works!! i skipped the setup of apple id and started the phone and later on added my account in the settings. i think everyone who is having issues must go for this option
