My Apple Watch (s4) won’t sync with my iPhone 7 for any outdoor exercise.
it registers on the watch, but won’t sync to phone. If I restart both, it may work on my next outdoor activity, but not beyond that.
any advice without loosing all my workout history 😢

Also after doing all the troubleshooting steps, problems still exists. Workout GPS routes or data still misses due to sync problems between apple watch and iphone12. Will Apple fix this in a next update of IOS?

It appears that you're having an issue with your workouts syncing to your iPhone. Are you updated to the latest iOS of 14.1? Please also take a look at the folowing link and let us know if the troubleshooting steps help.
