When transferring iPhone Xs backup (on iMac) to new iPhone 12, will the eSIM data be transferred? Or, will I need to have my carrier re-install eSIM data on iPhone 12?

I've read the link you've provided... and, it appears that the eSIM data should transfer... effortlessly, maybe! I'll read again once I receive iPhone 12 Pro (hopefully this next week).
