How do I group contacts together to text all at once?

I want to text a a group of people. How do I make a "group" from my contacts?

How to share Group of Contacts on iPhone? I noticed that I can share a Contact in iPhone by tapping the Share Contact button. I also noticed that in the Contacts app, there is a Group button at the top left-hand side of the app. If I tap on it, the app shows lists of Groups of Contacts. I don't see anything that would allow me to share an entire Group of Contacts with other people in the same way that I can share a Note with other Apple IDs. Is there a way that I can share an entire Group of Contacts with others one way or another without individually sharing each Contact one at a time?

Everything I’m reading says to us the “add contact” button, but I don’t see that anymore. I started the group of 17 (about a month ago) and now need to add more contacts. Please help! You cannot create groups in the contacts app on your phone. If you want to create groups, you have to do that in iCloud.com using a web browser on a computer. However, even if you create groups in the contacts app, you cannot select that group to send a text. You have to create the group right in the messages app by adding each contact to the text.
