Zoom/Portrait Mode - iPhoneX

My iPhoneX doesn't allow me to zoom out to 1x in portrait mode. Is that standard or am I supposed to have that option?

Didn't realize other phones had the option until I used my friend's phone and her default on portrait mode is 1x, and it shows her the option to zoom in to 2x in the bottom left corner.
