iPhone 12 stuck on setting up Apple ID

Hi guys,


I just recently joined Team Apple! This is my first iPhone, and I selected "manual setup".


I have been stuck on the "set up your Apple ID" for the past 30-ish minutes. I have tried to force restart twice, and still no change.


Is this normal? And if not, what are next steps?

Hi Andy!


They took me through the same process of updating + restoring, and in the end what worked for me was to complete the setup process without creating an Apple ID, and then creating/linking the Apple ID in settings after initial setup.

Dear All,

I followed the following steps to fix the Iphone Activation Problem

  1. Switch of your Wi-Fi and make sure you have inserted the SIM properly and you have an valid data connection.
  2. Switch off your Iphone by pressing volume up key then volume down key and then pressing the power key. Then you can boot your Iphone by pressing the power key.
  3. Just follow the steps mentioned in the following link https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT202033 up to Step No. 6 and click on Forgot password don't have an Apple ID?
  4. Follow the Step No. 7 and so on from the above mentioned link and complete the Iphone setup.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi again and complete the Apple ID settings.
  6. Enjoy the New Iphone.

I also am making the change to the iPhone for the 1st time....I spent all morning with Apple Support (Chat & on the phone).


They had me go through iTunes to try and update (no change); then I did a Restore (no change). On my own, I tried removing and reseating the SIM card but that had no effect.


At this point, I have an appointment in 5-days to replace my phone at an Apple store. Not pleased...


I hope that there is something that gets done sooner that will fix this issue so I can start using my new phone.

Hi All,

I am also new to the IWorld. I set up my new IPhone12, transfer some of the data from Android and now trying to get new apps from the app store. When trying to do this it transfering me to the ITunes store, because "this apple id has not yet been used in the ITunes store" - Tap review to sign in, then to review my account information. Then I am filling in all fields, but still I am getting the error messages - 3 red lines saying "You have not completed the entire form"

Hi I’ve had a lot problems trying to transfer data from my old i phone and set to new I phone 12 pro as all the other ppls problems I’m having similar issues it stalled on the input passcode and just didn’t do anything after that and now I’ve tried multiple times to even get back to that stage with no luck so I’m gonna try the other suggestions once I’m away from my WiFi see if that works seems to be big problems with this phone never had issues like this before and partner did his with ‘no problems love ‘tsk like it’s something I’ve done 😡
