I had the "inkjet1.driver will damage your computer" problem, tried downloading new drivers and got the "Matterhorn.framework" will damage your computer message. I was able to fix it in minutes as follows: 1.) On my Mac I went to Finder, Applications, HP and found an Uninstall app which I ran. I then restarted my Mac. 2.) I went to the HP Support site and downloaded the software for my printer. Everything seems to be working fine now. Hope it works for you too.

None of the fixes I found online or in the videos worked for me. I did however delete the HP folder in both my applications folder as well as in /Library/Printers/
After that, I went to try and print and all of the warnings went away. I was then prompted to download the missing software through Software Update in macOS. It installed the proper HP software needed and my printer is working fine now!
Step by Step instructions:
1.) Delete HP folder in Applications
2.) Delete hp folder in /Library/Printers by going to Go/Library/Printers and deleting the folder titled "hp'"
3.) Attempt to print and macOS will take you to the Software Update
4.) Update software and job should begin printing!
Strangeness - but this worked for me:
I also could *not* download from the ftp site. Several attempts and always stopped 1/2-way through. Gave up.
Just went to Settings:Printers. Deleted Printer driver (and Fax driver); added Printer driver back (and Fax came with it).
Able to print!
Kappy (can’t find the link) has a more complete answer, but if you click ok when asked if you want to report the issue, the message will go away and the document will print. He recommends deleting the printer and then adding it to eliminate the message.
Me too! Had to uninstall all HP software and reinstall. Now OK. See other people have had same problem with different HP message. Some said just drag message to trash but I thought that risky.
Believe this may be problem with Apple security now thinking this is malware erroneously.
I tried twice to download the ftp link pkg but I got a failed network error. So what worked for me was delete the printer and add it back using generic driver. Thanks for your help
If your printer supports AirPrint then you can actually just use that to print versus the HP driver. This will avoid the message when you print.
This what I just did to print my boarding pass. I used my ipad. Hope this helps.
As mentioned previously I uninstalled all HP software and then reinstalled latest driver. Believe this has been updated on Friday by HP.
Yes I just deleted HP Envy 5640 and then added it back. Took less than 30 seconds and working again.
I would be very careful not to mess around in just any library folder because you may accidentally be in another users Library or somewhere you didn’t intend.
Maybe I wasn’t explicit in saying you should have Finder open and then in the menu bar use Go and fill in the path to Library/Printers/hp
Library is a hidden folder by default, so using the Go option in Finder is one of the more straightforward ways of getting there.
Watch this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMUFffT73Vw Then update your HP Driver. Add your printer after all this. Hope it works! I can print now, but the error messages still appear. Oh well.
Quite a lot about this on other sites. Seems HP mistakenly removed security certification on older versions of Mac drivers. Working with Apple to reinstate.
👍👌 AirPrint is the way to go . .
Here it is. If you would mark it helpful it could help it stand out more!
