Phone stuck at set up your Apple ID

Try shutting the phone off. Then restart and bypass setting up the Apple ID. After you finish setting up the phone, then set up the Apple ID.

I had the same issue. The problem is with the Apple ID itself. Creating a new one fixed it for me, unfortunately did have to create a new email address and a new apple id. It's probably not the solution people are looking for but it works.

Thanks Eric, it wouldn’t shut down it was in a boot loop from first set up. I had to connect the phone to my MacBook, try a recovery mode process a dozen times, try and restore and install the firmware (tried 3 times) and it eventually returned back to the set up screen. All working now.

Me too. Once I entered my Apple ID on set up, it started updating and eventually restarted. On the very same restart, it’s stuck on the Apple logo for hours.

Ive tried a forced reset (failed) and plugged into my iTunes account and it doesn’t recognise that my phone is even plugged in. I’ve also tried Reiboot and that doesn’t recognise the device is plugged in either to update.

Totally lost!

Having the same issue here with a new iPad Air 2020. Restarted already two times but remains the same screen. Very annoying !

How did you restart? My IPAD Air 4 is stuck @ " It may take few minutes to setup your apple ID" and I can' even restart !

I did not solve this issue....(quickstart fail)

I did but 50g icloud for 99 cents. backed up iphone7 completely. then did icloud restore on iphone12 mini.

What I wanted to point out though was iphone 7. was 14.3

Mac Mini was Big Sur 11.0.1

And new phone was behind at 14.2.

that may be the issue.
