Setting up my Apple Watch

When I try to pair my watch with my iPhone, put each time I start I get the following message: unable to check for updates due to not being connected to internet, yet I am connected. I can't get any further in the process.


I've restarted both devices and my phone is on version 14.0.1, iPhone 11.
