Setting up my Apple Watch

When I try to pair my watch with my iPhone, put each time I start I get the following message: unable to check for updates due to not being connected to internet, yet I am connected. I can't get any further in the process.

I've restarted both devices and my phone is on version 14.0.1, iPhone 11.

Apple Watch connection I am trying to connect my Apple Watch to my phone and it keeps coming up that the watch is unable to software update as it is not connected to the internet My phone is connected to the internet. Setting up an Apple Watch and won’t connect to phone. Watch app also says that the update I’m trying to do can’t happen because I’m not connected to the internet but I am Trying connect a new Apple Watch device to my iPhone and it’s saying I need to complete an update on the watch before getting any further. I have attempted to do this update 5+ times now and each time my phone comes up with a message saying “Unable to verify Update The watchos update couldn’t be verified because you are not connected to the internet”. However my phone is connected to the internet and stays connected. any suggestions as to what I can do please?

Help bought a watch and unable to connect to my phone i bought a series 3 apple watch and when trying to connect to my iphone 12 mini it says that it needs to update when i continue it then tells me it is not able to find and update because i am not connected to the internet when i am and im on wifi. HELP!
