Iphone 12 pro showing as IPAD on facebook login history

Apple and other browser vendors are removing the telltale means of specifically identifying a browser client including deprecating the User Agent string, which is why various websites are now “confusing” iPad, iPhone, and Mac.

Basically, what Facebook is trying to do here is being deprecated by the browser vendors, and if the browser work succeeds, Facebook and other websites will have more difficulty attempting to track and identify a specific user; us.

Like already mentioned, this is not a problem with Apple but with Facebook. Facebook needs to update their device identification settings to correctly identify the iPhone 12. Again, this is not Apple’s problem to fix.

That isn’t for Apple to fix it. It’s Facebook issue; report to them to fix it.

When you have a iPhone 12 Pro and when you log into Facebook and it says iPad it means Facebook issue and they haven’t updated their settings yet

I’m having the same issue with in my security and login that my iPhone 12 Pro is showing that the device is an iPad. Even on the messenger app it is saying the same thing. Very weird. Has anyone been having the same issue? I’ve kept my app up to date and still showing it.

Same issue (?) with my iPhone 12 Pro. Also Messenger tells me i logged in with my IPAD on MESSENGER LITE FOR IOS. Like exuse me Messenger Lite is not over? Also I'm experiencing some issues with FB Messenger, my friends' profile pictures are not really updating and it has some sync issues too. I don't know it's a Facebook problem or an iOS problem, but on my Android the apps are working perfectly, not like on my 12 Pro.

When I use facebook on my iphone 12 pro, the security and login history keeps showing an ipad login, instead of iphone 12 pro.

Does anyone know why? And does it need fixing?
