i can take a picture while my phone is locked and from there I can access my whole gallery. How can I leave the camera enabled but not have my pictures/videos vulnerable. My girlfriend has it set up that way on her phone but won’t show me how to do it on mine

Say for instance It is locked and somebody picks it up, opens the camera from the Lock Screen, takes a photo, clicks on that photo, then clicks All Photos. Now they can see my whole gallery or library of photos. Some how on my girlfriends iPhone, after you go through the same process and click All Photos, it wants the passcode and you don’t have access to the photos without it. How do I enable that on my phone? That’s what I’m asking.
