Viewing my private notifications without going to my Home Screen

Hello,

So I was playing around in settings and I turned something off and I don’t know how to reverse it. So most of my apps show there notifications, expect for Twitter and Messages because I don’t want people to see that before I unlock my phone. But now when I get a private notification I have to press my finger on the fingerprint reader, and then it closes the Notification Center. Where before I would just press my finger and then boom, my private notifications are readable without going to my home page. I’m I making any sense?

Hi Caden,

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand that some settings have changed on your iPhone, and it's no longer working the way you'd expect. To get started, can you let us know what you see in the Settings app > Accessibility > Home Button > Rest Finger to Open? Is this option on or off? We have some more information about this setting at Adjust settings for the side or Home button on iPhone

When this setting is turned on, it enables you to place your finger on the Home button to unlock the phone without actually pushing the button.

Please let us know what you find, and we'll take it from there.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! Yes, it was turned off. Great, now I can do this on my iPad as well.
