how to remove a deleted apple ID from a device

I had two Apple IDs and deleted one of them through Apple Support because I didn't have access to one of the emails anymore. The deleted Apple ID still shows up on my devices and keeps asking me to enter the password for this ID. I just bought a new iPhone and would like to permanently remove this Apple ID so it's not a lingering issue. Any thoughts?

You may not be able to use that device anymore. From the article below.

  • Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.

If the account is already deleted, is there a way to get it off my phone, Mac and iPad? With it being deleted, I can't log into it to remove my device from the account. Unfortunately, it sounds as if I should have removed my devices from that account before it was deleted, but I didn't know that at the time. Does anyone know of a work around to remove a deleted account from a device(s)?
