Just upgraded from 1st gen to 2nd gen iPhone Se: Having problem with home button

I live in Canada and weather is getting cold. I am noticing that I can't click the home button on the 2nd gen iPhone when I have gloves on. I have to take my gloves off for the home button click to work. I could easily do this on the 1st gen iPhone. Is there any way to make the home button click down on the 2nd gen iPhone with gloves on? I may have to go back if this is not possible.

iPhone SE, iOS 13

Hi,

Bit complicated to explain so here is another forum thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251322385

Basically the 2nd gen uses a haptic button that doesn't actually move and vibrates instead so it feels like it moves. The 1st gen had a mechanical button.

Hope this helps
