my iphone 4s is stuck in voice over mode and when I try to use the finger commands (double taps, triple taps, three fingers, etc.) it doesn't work. Siri says there is no match when I try to use voice commands to turn it off. Anyone else have any ideas?

I can't really help much more then sorry, you could try a factory reset to fix it but I'm only guessing. make sure if you do do a factory reset, that your phone is completely backed up, so you can get all of your stuff back when its reset. I don't want you to lose any of your data.
try going to Settings>General>Accessability>Accessability shortcut. Select it and unselect the Voice Over option. this may stop your VoiceOver automatically turning on. then go back to VoiceOver and turn it off again like you have been. hope fully it won't turn on again.

that's right, it will switch over, and then it just switches back to ON
are you double tapping it off?
yes, I am... it will go over, it just doesn't stay over... I have been successfully doubletapping until that spot, and then it just keeps sliding back to ON
I tried that, but I don't have the shortcut option...
That's where I got to with the tech... I'm doing a software update and then a reset if that doesn't work. Thanks for your help!

oh I only just saw that you said the finger commands won't work, I was gonna say to do that haha. Have you tapped on the slide to unlock first, and then tried swiping across with 3 fingers? or did you try swiping without clicking on it?
I can get to the voice over toggle using the commands, but when I try to actually toggle to off, it will slide over, and then slide back to on
