go to your Mac settings, click on trackpad, go to point and click settings at the top, scroll all the way down to bottom and check the box called silent clicking. If this option isn't available, you can put the click on light. this will make it quieter. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204352

I'm sad that your solution does not match the configuration settings on track pad on my Mac.

The point & click tab only has 3 options.

I'm running MACOS 10.15.6

There is also a design issue since a user should not be forced to turn trackpad click sound down by lowering the click pad pressure. Those obviously should be independent settings.
